I'm a designer in training

Every once and a while a girl needs a break to relax with friends and listen to some good country music.

A couple of weeks ago ten of us went to Raven's Stadium for the Kenny Chesney "Pirates Tour"- it was 9hours of great music.

Quick Update

Here is some progress pictures- this one shows the future place of the toilet and shower
This used to be an open room with no wall

I now have a window above my back door that was originally covered up
My family came to visit and decided to create more destruction by tearing down the wall dividing the two rooms

My dad took down a wall twice this size to make a smaller one for more room to get in the front door

I decided to see what was behind the slanted wall in the stairwell and surprise surprise the stairwell opened up into this.

Long Overdue Update

It has been awhile since I posted but I've been a busy girl getting my hands dirty, traveling, and learning all about the exciting things of how to be a handy girl. I have less than a month till I have to be completely out of my current house that I rent. YIPPEE no more money pointlessly going to someone else...I finally have an investment. In the past couple of weeks I have been asked by numerous people how being a home owner feels and well it can be summed up in one word..EDUCATIONAL. I have learned so much about myself and my dreams for the future of my house and me.

This is my pretty new little toy......I have central ac now!!! It is so freakin tall it could be a high table.

This is the exposed brick wall after it was grinded and smoothed out and a shiny coat was put on top...it looks a lot better in person.

After tearing out the ceiling I noticed that the brick bumpouts didn't go all the way to the 2nd floor, so I tore open the bumpouts to see if I could make more room.

I decided that I was tired of looking at the ugly ceiling tiles....so I tore them down.
